Danny Smith

Danny Smith is a 23-year veteran of commercial banking and SBA lending, bringing a rare combination of credit expertise and deal origination to his role as Director, Business Development Officer on Ready Capital’s Small Business Lending team. Before transitioning to business development, Danny served as the Director and Head of Underwriting at Ready Capital, where he led the credit team to record production. Danny has expertise in a wide range of commercial lending including SBA, ABL, Syndications and Special Assets.

Danny specializes in SBA 7(a) financing for business acquisitions and owner-occupied commercial real estate, with deep experience in complex industries including hotels, gas stations, childcare centers, self-storage facilities, assisted living, and manufacturing companies. He partners with brokers, M&A advisors, and buyers early in the process to structure deals for approval from the start.

Danny holds an MBA from the University of Alabama and a B.S. in Finance from Jacksonville State University.
