As Chief Credit Officer for Ready Capital’s Small Business group, Martin has close to 30 years of experience in credit and risk management.

He started his career as a commercial credit analyst for ING in the Netherlands and worked in various senior credit officer roles at Popular Community Bank, Republic Bank of Chicago, American Enterprise Bank, and International Bank of Chicago. He most recently was the Director of SBA Underwriting for Byline Bank.

He received a Bachelor of Science from the Amsterdam School of Business.
